Barium Impregnated Polyethylene Spheres (BIPS) are a mixture of plastic and barium sulfate. They are designed for investigating GI tract problems and also for ruling out obstructions of the GI tract. 

Features

  • Solid, non-dissolving spheres of two sizes (5 mm and 1.5 mm)
  • The small capsules (consists of four small gelatine capsules, collectively containing 1 dose of BIPS) are ideal for cats and small dogs
  • The large capsule (consists of a large gelatine capsule, containing 1 dose of BIPS) is recommended for larger dogs
  • The gelatine capsules can be administered easily in food or by mouth
  • Radio-dense to show clearly on a abdominal radiograph
  • Provides a safe, accurate, diagnostic procedure
