The Luxel®+  Service is a subscription-based dosimetry service available to veterinary practices only. The service requires badges to be issued and then returned for quarterly exposure reports. The minimum subscription period is 12 months.

How does the service work?

The Luxel®+ badges are sent out quarterly. The wear periods are:
  • January – March
  • April – June
  • July – September
  • October – December

What happens next?

You will receive badges approximately one week prior to the commencement of each quarterly wear period, and a control badge will always be sent in the pack.

The control badge will record any radiation exposure during the shipping process, it should then should be stored in a radiation free area during the wear period. The control badge must also be returned along with the personal badges at the end of the wear period. It is the customers responsibility to return the previous quarters badges (using the envelope provided) to J.A.K Marketing within 30 days of receiving replacement badges. Customers are responsible for postage costs and it is recommended to track the package or retain proof of postage.

It is important to note that every lost, unreturned or damaged badge will incur a £15 fee as per the full Terms and Conditions and that no data will be retained for the wear period. If you require a new badge, you will need to notify J.A.K Marketing as soon as possible. If the badge goes through the washing machine this badge will need to be replaced ASAP please contact J.A.K Marketing to request a replacement.

Can I make changes to the account?

Yes, you can add wearers, cancel wearers, or notify J.A.K Marketing of any changes. To make changes, you will need to request this in writing to dosimetry@jakmarketing.co.uk

For changes to take effect for the next wear period customers will need to request changes at least 35 days prior to the start of the next wear period.

Cancellation

Cancellation of accounts need to be at least 35 days prior to the start of the next wear period.

All BADGES MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT (see diagram below). Lost, un-returned or damaged badges will incur a £15 fee per badge.

Service is automatically renewed, without notice, for successive periods of like duration unless you cancel in writing according to the full Terms and Conditions.
