- Violet colour for better visibility during surgeries
- Absorbed by hydrolysis (absorption is minimal until 90 days post-surgery)
- Absorption is complete within six months
- High resistance to traction
- Smooth and flexible, with a high tensile strength
- Very good security properties of the knot
